Dr. Borovik undertook his ophthalmology training at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, where he served as Professorial Senior Registrar in his final year; he then completed a two-year fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO).
