Called his office to confirm the appointment. The staff who answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude.
Dr. Chan is likely a decent cataract surgeon. Certainly, he did a good job on one eye, but something went wrong with the second eye. It has been 7-years and that eye has never stopped watering. According to Dr. Chan, I have a case of dry-eye, though I have never had dry-eye in my entire life.
Dr. Chan was seriously upset on the day he did the eye that has given me so much trouble, due to a serious argument he was having with his assistant. He surely was too stressed to be performing delicate surgery.
Furthermore, prior to surgery, when I attempted to explain the vision I wanted this eye to have, and thought he had heard me, but apparently he was too interested in carrying on his argument with his assistant. He either never heard me or he instantly forgot. When I was wheeled into the room where the surgery was done, the air was so thick from the friction between Dr. Chan and his assistant it could have been sliced and diced. I came close to jumping off the gurney and walking out. Not having done so is something I will regret the rest of my life.
