Education and training

Dr Ormonde graduated MBChB from the University of Bristol in 1992, trained in ophthalmology in Oxford and Manchester, and completed subspecialty fellowships in cataract, corneal, anterior segment, and refractive surgery in Auckland (2001–2002), followed by further corneal and glaucoma fellowships in Leeds and Manchester (2003); she holds an MD in laser refractive surgery and is a Fellow of both the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth).
